June 30 ColdI am sitting here freezing my toosh off. Just thought you would like to know.
I finished my work experience today. Got to watch a desexing, that was intersting and a dental surgery. I've decided i dont really want my wisdom teeth out after all. I still want to be a vet, in case anyone is interesting, doing work experience just made me more enthusiastic about it.

1) Julia's Party on the 1st!! wooo!! Get to see heaps of people i haven't seen all year, its like our yearly ritual. Happy Birthday Jules if you're reading this
2) 7th of July - Pirates of the Caribean 2!! yay!!!!! Getting mum to order tickets tonight!! wooo!!
3) Possibly Gyroscope and Kisschasy on the 12th and 9th (Dont know which is which) but that depends if David gets his organising act together and if he can do something about the 14 Gyroscope tickets stolen from his car
4) Ryan's birthday party on the 13th. Should be a big one. lots of people, good food and grog
5) Dale's birthday party on the 14th. Wow a lot of people are born around this time of year. what's with that?

If you're all (all being like...2 people) interested, the cat had surgery today to have a pin put in its leg and clampy things sticking out the sides to keep it straight. As expected the cat was cranky as hell when she woke up. She was still a nice little cat tho, just in a lot of pain. Burmese seem to be a nice breed.
I'm still dying of my cough, but i'm still going out tonight, to a pub with ryan and valese and tandy. Should be...interesting. It is doubtful i will drink tho that is more to do with budgetary concerns than moral/religious/health ones. Perhaps i can convince someone to buy me a drink...hmm...
Pirates of the Carribean 2 comes out on July 6th. We are going on July 7th at 12.30pm at Tuggeranong. It goes for 2 1/2 hours. If you are interested and havent been contacted (chances are I've tried) I'm prebooking tickets tonight or tomorrow morning, so if you want one you'll have to contact me before then. Or ask my mum if I'm not home. Tickets are $12.50 and you can pay me back on the day. June 28 Dear AmarkTsk tsk tsk. Making rude comments about my blog on other peoples blog. How could you. I'll check if it is public, on the off chance someone may like to read it. Don't see why, its not cool and random like Wade and Huw's blogs, mainly cos my random moods don't correspond with my blogging moods.
Work experience is fun. Learning how they take x-rays and do blood tests. We had a whiny dalmation, a cat that jumped off a 3 story building and now has a very broken leg, a grumpy foxie and a diatetic cat. I never knew how much work the vet nurses actually do relating to the surgery. They do dental work, set up the surgery, make sure the animal doesnt die under anesthetic, put in IV's, heaps of stuff.
Does anyone know if I'm doing anything on the 13th of july?? the date sounds really familiar, but i can't remember for the life of me...

Well. i'll start from now and work backwards. I'm doing work experience at Weston Creek Veterinary Hospital at the moment. It is really interesting when something actually happens. We had a dog with pancreatitis, but she's better now, a lame cat, a little puppy that had to be put down :( um....some more cranky cats...a lumpy dog...thats all i can remember. During surgery i get to take readings and stuff. The rest of my time is spent wandering aimlessly or cleaning.
On the weekend was the raiders game...we WON!!!! I pissed off several people around us with my yelling, but it worked!!! Take that roosters!! made my cold worse tho...
Before that I was in Melbourne, it was exam time. It sucked. i was very very sick, and had to apply for special consideration for some of my exams. Stupid stomach... The doctors were useless too, it could have been an ulcer, gastro or gallstones (Caitlin's fault) I have no idea how i went on my exams, i'll Know on the 12th of July. How i went also determines if i do supplementary exams and when i go back to melbourne.
Ok that seems like enough writing for now. too long and people will give it to insomniacs for bedtime reading. heh. like when huw starts talking about computers. "Blah blah blah CPU blah" "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" |
